Kevin Costner Worries He ‘Could Run Out of Money’ as His Ex Claims Divorce Battle Is ‘Far from Over’
After 18 years of marriage and three children, Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner’s divorce has become a public spectacle of acrimonious court battles and sensational allegations. The couple, who share children Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13, have been in and out of court since Baumgartner filed for divorce in May 2023.
A recent child support hearing saw Baumgartner seeking an increase in payments, from the temporary order of $219,000 per month to $248,000, to maintain the children’s standard of living. However, the court ruled for a decrease to $63,209 per month, much to Costner’s relief, given his concerns about financial stability post-“Yellowstone.”
Testimony from a forensic accountant revealed Costner’s substantial monthly earnings from “Yellowstone” on top of his regular income. With the show’s conclusion, his earnings are expected to return to their previous levels.
Amidst the financial disputes, personal relationships have also come under scrutiny. Baumgartner has been accused of dating Costner’s friend, Josh Connor, which she denies, stating their relationship is platonic. Despite receiving significant sums from Connor and her brother, Baumgartner insists these were loans, not gifts.
The tension escalated when Baumgartner expressed her disappointment with the court’s decision on child support, feeling misrepresented by Costner’s legal team. She fears the ongoing conflict, fueled by Costner’s alleged anger and desire for revenge, may ultimately harm their children.

Costner, on the other hand, has raised concerns about Baumgartner’s lifestyle expectations and her sources of income. Despite the heated exchanges and legal wrangling, Costner hopes for a resolution that spares the emotional well-being of all involved, especially their children. As the proceedings continue, both parties seek closure to this challenging chapter in their lives.
What i don’t understand is why She is demanding to break him since she is the one seeking the divorce?
And does the financier know of Costners assets and deficeits? And dont the teen age childre already have a formal well to do identity through their father? If she brings HIM down they will tumble too. And how is she going to manage all his necessary investment to keep the windmills flowing…
She gets enough she can take care of herself the kids will be OK if your both OK she needs to go on her wwy.
