NCIS: Europe reunites fan favorite characters Tony and Ziva in an action-packed spin-off
NCIS fans rejoice! Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo are back together as Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David in a new spin-off series titled NCIS: Europe.
The 10-episode series will follow Tony and Ziva as they go on the run across Europe after Tony’s security company is attacked. The couple, who are now raising their daughter Tali together, will have to learn to trust each other again while facing danger and trying to figure out who is after them.
This marks the first time Weatherly and de Pablo will be sharing the screen since de Pablo left NCIS in season 11. Weatherly, an original cast member, left the show after season 13.
The spin-off is written by John McNamara and executive produced by Weatherly, de Pablo, McNamara, Laurie Lieser, Christina Strain, and Shelley Meals. Production is expected to start later this year.
This is exciting news for NCIS fans who have been hoping for a “Tiva” reunion for years. Weatherly himself hinted at a reunion earlier this year, and both he and de Pablo have expressed their excitement about the new project.
NCIS: Europe is just one of two new NCIS spin-offs in the works. The other is a prequel series focusing on a young Leroy Gibbs titled NCIS: Origins.
NCIS: Europe will join the ever-growing NCIS franchise, which includes the long-running mothership series, NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans, NCIS: Hawai’i, and the recently launched NCIS: Sydney.
